Description

Fidel Morales was born May 26, 2001. Morales started break dancing when he was in the eighth grade and formed a break dancing club at McClane High School in Fresno, CA with the help of Mr. Vang who served as the club’s advisor. While at McLane, Morales participated in break dancing demonstrations and dancing competitions. While he primarily battled in Fresno, those battles attacted b-boys from around the Central Valley; in particular, Morales recalls b-boys coming from as far away as San Jose, and Stockton. In addition to battling in Fresno, Morales, also practived b-boying in Fresno parks including Holmes Playground and Roeding park. Morales also remembers traveling to compete in other Central Valley cities like Modesto and Madera. Morales further learned about b-boying through his affiliation with the Wizards, a predominantly Hmong b-boy crew in California’s Central Valley. When he was a junior at McLane, he and a few others tried to contribute to Fresno’s b-boy legacy by recruiting seventh and eighth grade students to join McClean’s break dancing club at McLane.
