Statement on Copyright, Use, and Reproduction

The Valley Public History Initiative (VPHI) provides access to the materials on this website for the purposes of research and education. VPHI holds all rights, title, and interest, including literary rights and copyright, to the oral histories collected and made available on this site by VPHI oral historians. Oral history narrators retain the non-exclusive right to copy, use, and publish their oral histories during their lifetimes. In addition to oral histories collected by VPHI, this site includes a wide variety of materials obtained from many different sources, created and provided by many different individuals and institutions in Fresno and the Central Valley. VPHI may or may not hold copyright for these items. VPHI cannot grant or deny permission to distribute those items for which it does not own the rights. These materials may only be used with permission from the copyright owner, or within the limits of fair use and other statutory exceptions. It is the user's obligation to determine and satisfy copyright or other use restrictions when publishing or otherwise distributing materials to which VPHI does not own the rights. VPHI does its best to secure permission for reproduction before placing items online. If you claim the rights to any of the materials on this website and believe they are inappropriately accessible online, please contact us at seslusser@csufresno.edu
